As a small batch, boutique brand, Flying Silver Studio doesn't outsource or bulk manufacture any pieces. Each one is crafted by hand with consideration and care. I gather local metals and gemstones using thoughtful and sustainable practices, and harness water and fire to transform these elements into beautiful heirlooms that last a lifetime.
Authenticity and natural beauty are at the core of my design ethos. Crafting pieces that speak to the core of each person.
I like to call it, conscious sophistication. Meaning my work is original and timeless not tailored to seasonal trends.
I work exclusively with recycled sterling silver (also known
as 925 silver), to promote a circular culture that doesn’t continually draw on the earth’s finite resources.

ALCHEMIST AND ARTIST
MY STORY
As a jewelry artist, my practice stems from a lifelong love of alchemy, art and science. I made my first jewelry pieces while I was studying a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Biology.
I applied this knowledge as a winemaker, first in California and then in New Zealand. It suited my methodical analytical character, allowing me to be intuitive and creative too. After 20 years working with the earth’s natural elements and rhythms, I learned to harness the raw energy of transformation and create in harmony with nature.
During 2015, I travelled to France where I had the opportunity to learn perfume making and felt renewed excitement for a different type of alchemy. I created an entire line of fragrances, following this, developing scented candles and was ready to launch them into the world when the valley where I live in California was devastated by wildfires. The world did not need more fire.
