"It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart."
― Rainer Maria Rilke
Have you ever wondered why getting out into nature makes you feel
refreshed & restored?
Research shows that the natural world provides both physical & psychological wellbeing.
Some researchers theorize that our drive to connect with nature is instinctual.
After all, we rely on the environment for survival.
Other studies suggest spending time in nature triggers a physiological response in our nervous system, lowering stress levels.
This in turn allows us to refocus & find calm, restoring our ability to concentrate when we’re fatigued.
One thing is clear, in our urban lives we need to protect and preserve our precious green spaces.
The natural world is bountiful but finite, and essential to our wellbeing.
This is why I’m so passionate about using recycled materials in my studio.
Sterling silver retains the same strength and shine, without drawing more resources from the earth. Embracing a circular economy where we can enjoy beautiful things and lessen our impact on the natural world.
I like to think of it as the intersection of beauty and responsibility.
As individuals, we have a responsibility to appreciate and protect the beauty that surrounds us. This can manifest in various ways, such as taking care of our environment, supporting sustainable practices, and promoting ethical consumption.
For instance, by adopting eco-friendly habits and reducing our carbon footprint, we can contribute to the preservation of the natural beauty of our planet. Similarly, by supporting ethical brands that prioritize sustainability and fair trade, we can ensure that the products we use contribute to a more beautiful and responsible world
“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect.
Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.”
― Alice Walker
